Our Mission & Values
SALDtech’s ambition is to commercialize large-area Spatial Atomic (S-ALD) Layer Deposition technology and equipment for energy and display applications and as such become the S-ALD powerhouse. We do this by enabling our customers to minimize use of scarce materials and as such save the environment.
We do so by applying the core values we believe in:

2009 - 2012
2009: TNO develops atmospheric pressure Spatial ALD and builds the first prototype tool
2010: TNO demonstrates atmospheric pressure plasma enhanced Spatial ALD for the first time
2012: TNO develops roll-to-roll Spatial ALD
2013 - 2018
2013: TNO develops Spatial ALD of high mobility oxide semiconductors
2017: TNO demonstrates Spatial ALD in high aspect ratio 3D substrates
2018: SALDtech is officially founded
SALDtech received round A financing with participation of Innovation Industries and the BOM
SALDtech receives the Gerard and Anton Award for promising start-ups
SALDtech develops mask less patterned Spatial ALD for thin-film encapsulation of OLEDs
SALDtech receives first order for ALD deposition and system design
SALDtech develops a HG6 mass production tool for OLED display manufacturing
SALDtech expands towards applications in the energy domain and introduces its R&D tool
